Visit and wine tasting

Located in the heart of the Hérault valley, a few kilometers from the Pont du Diable and Saint-Guilhem-Le-Désert, Château Capion is not only a renowned wine estate but also a place to relax and enjoy a number of outdoor activities.

Our sommelier awaits you in the château’s salle de degustation, where you can taste all our cuvées.

Art exhibitions, cultural events, concerts and themed evenings are organised throughout the year.

Park and gardens

Situated below the château is a large park open to the public all year round. Within, formal French and English gardens, a potager or vegetable garden, an arbour and fountains make for a beautiful, leisurely stroll. There is a picnic area as well, and a wide shaded terrace for those who like to sit and admire a view.

Walk in the dappled light under cedars, lime trees, plane trees and pines, and catch the scent of roses, honeysuckles, irises, hollyhocks, and huge array of other flowers grown in the grounds of the Château.

Wine Tourism

Naturally, a visit to the Capion estate is organised primarily around the vine and the wine! No doubt you’ll be keen to sample our award-winning cuvées in the château’s tasting room but why not first walk or cycle the route that takes you to the heart of our vineyard?

Along the way, information boards tell you about the grape varieties, the soil types and the vines – but don’t worry; though you’ll feel much more knowledgeable about wine afterwards, there’s no test at the end of it!
